I've been a long time fan of Breakstones' Cottage Cheese Doubles. If you've never heard of Cottage Doubles, they are a delicious combination of fruit and cottage cheese. They come in several flavors --blueberry, strawberry, peach and pineapple; all are equally good in my opinion. They come in handy for a quick grab and go breakfast or snack. And, they contain a pretty good amount of protein -- yea for cottage cheese!
How much do they cost?
Well, here in the Midwest they cost a $1.29 each and regularly go on sale for $1. Last week I took advantage of a great deal and was able to snag 15 of these suckers for free. So, I've been eating one of them almost everyday and that got me to thinking of sharing them with you.
Breakstone's Cottage Doubles cost more than any yogurt I can think of besides Greek Yogurt, but they are awfully good and give you a lot more protein than you will get from most yogurts and less sugar.
Now, I know you can buy the fruit and cottage cheese separately and make your own combo for a lot less. But, I've found that as much as I plan to do that, I seldom end up actually doing it. The times that I do, the larger container of cottage cheese goes bad and then I've wasted my money. The individual serving sizes work much better for me.

I looooove these. Pineapple is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteI am sure it is a part of it - I have seen medical doctors wearing shirts with cigarettes on them at work...
ReplyDeleteI buy the ones that are only 100 calories each... the pinapple is my favorite. :)
